DRIVE-THRU BBQ

2nd Bishop's Peak Drive-Thru BBQ

A huge "thank you" to everyone who contributed to this fun and profitable fundraiser!  We sold a total of 174 tri-tip dinners, 29 vegetarian dinners and 85 single tri-tips, for a combined profit of $5,509.00.  Our hope is to make at least this much in the spring to replace the $12,000 a year we made previously with our wrapping paper sale.

Our goal is to raise the money we need for study trips and special programs for our children while at the same time providing our families with something they can enjoy and appreciate, and eliminating the need for children to sell products for prizes.  Look for our next Drive-Thru BBQ in mid to late April, with a walk-up option from 2:15 - 3:00 pm.  Anyone wishing to help with this enjoyable event should call Lisa Guy at 295-9402.

We would like to thank the following local businesses for their support:  San Luis Sourdough (located at 3877 Long Street, behind Kennedy Club Fitness on Tank Farm Road) donated 115 loaves of delicious brown and serve bread; McLintocks Saloon & Dining House on Higuera Street in SLO gave us a generous discount on 30 gallons of their tasty beans; Costco at Froom Ranch presented us with a $25 gift card to use for purchasing spices and tin foil for our tri-tip; and Smart-n-Final and Albertson's on Foothill gave us plastic bags to use for our dinners.  Please show your support of these local businesses and be sure to thank them and mention Bishop's Peak!

Many thanks also to the following teachers, staff and parents for their precious time and energy:  Rich & Heather Silacci, John & Christine Kimball, Mike & Becky Price, Jim Irwin,  Dan Block, Kevin Hill & Elaine Hill, Matt Moore, Mark Klever, Mark Sylvester, John Clements, Dennis Martin, Beth Meyer, Jerilynn Campbell, Deena Dana, McKay Knecht, Jacqueline Evers, Ronni Johnson, Monica Holman, Carol Miller, Justin and Caitlin Wolf, Janet Crabb, Rosemary Hollis, Erin Wynns, Laurie Tangeman, Kiley MacLeod, Keith Guy, Denise Jenkins, Mavis Wong, Linda Kirschner, Wendy Dahl, Betty Quintana, Jenn & Ryan Stokes, the woman from Santa Margarita who made a last minute run for more bread, all the parents who sold extra tickets to friends and neighbors, and anyone else I may have forgotten.  We appreciate you!!!
